Call for proposals open: apply for support for research networks, conferences and publications

The second round of calls for the Foundation’s smaller grants is now open. Researchers can apply for support to establish and develop research networks, organise conferences relevant to the Baltic Sea Region and Eastern Europe, and publish research results from projects funded by the Foundation with open access.

Support for research networks

This grant provides an opportunity to establish new or maintain existing networks of researchers. The networks should be research-initiating and contribute to future research through scientific meetings and contacts.

Through these networks, researchers can jointly develop, define and formulate new research ideas that may ultimately lead to applications for research funding.

Conference grants

This grant is intended for organizing conferences with a clear relevance to the Baltic Sea Region and Eastern Europe. The purpose is to strengthen international collaboration, promote knowledge exchange and contribute to the dissemination of research findings on the region.

Publication grants

This grant is intended for researchers who wish to publish research results from projects funded by the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies. The aim is to increase the visibility and accessibility of research on the Baltic Sea Region and Eastern Europe through open access publications.

Grant administrator

Södertörn University must be the grant administrator for applications for conference grants. For applications for research networks and publication grants, a Swedish higher education institution can serve as the grant administrator.
