{"id":6896,"date":"2025-12-15T09:08:03","date_gmt":"2025-12-15T08:08:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ostersjostiftelsen.se\/?page_id=6896"},"modified":"2025-12-15T09:08:04","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T08:08:04","slug":"guidelines-for-the-use-of-ai-tools-in-the-preparation-of-research-grant-applications-and-in-peer-review","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ostersjostiftelsen.se\/en\/guidelines-for-the-use-of-ai-tools-in-the-preparation-of-research-grant-applications-and-in-peer-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Guidelines for the use of AI tools in the preparation of research grant applications and in peer review"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Adopted by the Board of the Foundation on\u00a009\/12\/2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use of AI in preparing applications for research funding from the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies allows the use of generative AI or other tools (digital or otherwise) when designing your application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you use AI tools or not, the following applies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As an applicant, you are responsible for ensuring that the content of the application \u2013 including everything stated in the project plan \u2013 is correct and that you can carry out the research as described. You certify this when you submit and sign the application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As an applicant, you must adhere to good research practice during the application process, which means that plagiarism, falsification or fabrication of content in the application, including references, is not permitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use of AI in expert review of applications submitted to the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Generative AI tools (ChatGPT or similar) may not be used in the scientific assessment of applications.
