During the autumn of 2021 the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies made a decision to establish a support programme at S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn University for researchers at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a consequence of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and the subsequent acts of war the Foundation has decided to temporarily expand the programme, as soon as possible, to include six positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme is funded by the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies and scholars are offered an employment at the S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn University. The aim is for the scholars to be able to continue working as researchers and teachers within their academic fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, the Foundation and the University are jointly looking into possibilities to expand the programme to also include doctoral students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Foundation and the University are also looking into other possibilities to support researchers from Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
