Projektet ”Språkets bilder – bildernas språk” undersöker nya former av kulturell översättning mellan olika diskurser, t.ex. mellan vetenskaplig analys och konstnärlig representation. Att översätta mellan dem betyder att hitta en tolkningsnivå där vetenskaplig och estetisk erfarenhet börjar kasta ljus på varandra. Både vetenskap och konst betraktas här som kontextbundna former av diskursivitet.
Projektet har arbetat med studier inom cultural studies, om olika litterära skolors implicita översättningsdoktriner, samt med att presenterat teoretiska och praktiska erfarenheter av översättning på Internet (nättidskriften iDialog).
